Dinner [Thomas, Shannon and Family]

Shannon looked at Erin, "Sweetie, you okay?" she asked, Erin nodded, then got up from the table and walked into the front room

I excused myself from the table and then followed Erin, looking at her with a worried expression.
"Hey sweetie, he didn't mean to hurt you." I said quietly, gently touching her shoulder.

Erin looked at Haylen, "Really?" she asked

I looked at her and nodded.
"Really. I know he didn't." I assured her.

Erin nodded, then sniffed a bit

I got down to her level and placed my hands on her shoulder, looking at her.
"You know, when people get older they start to believe in different things, but that doesn't mean that you believe in stupid things." I said gently.

Erin looked at Haylen, then nodded, Shannon walked in behind her at the same time

"You going to be okay, now?" I asked her gently and glanced at Shannon.

Erin nodded, then looked at her mom, Shannon walked over and sat next to Erin, putting her arm around her

I got up and left the room, joining the others at the table with a somewhat worried expression. Keven looked at me and then got up as well, walking to the room and knocked on the door frame, looking at Erin and Shannon.
"May I talk to you, sweetie?" he asked Erin.

Erin looked up at Keven, then nodded, "Yes" she replied while leaning her head on Shannon

Keven walked up them, getting down to her level in front of her, just like I did only moments before. He looked at her as he spoke to Erin.
"I am sorry, if I hurt you, Erin. I really didn't mean to." he said and his voice and expression said he meant it.

Shannon smiled a bit as she watched how Keven interacted with Erin, Erin sat up a bit, "Your forgiven" she replied

Keven smiled a little.
"Thank you, lass." he said. "You know... I may not have a white horse, but I do have one."

Erin smiled, but she was confused a bit, "You do have one?" she asked

"I mean a horse." he said with a smile. "Sometimes I have to work in Central Park, going on patrol and then we use horses instead of cars."

Erin's face lit up, "Really?" she asked, Shannon smiled at her

Keven nodded.
"We have quite a lot of horses for the job. Maybe, if your parents allow, Haylen and I can take you to visit them, if you want to." he said, glancing at Shannon.

Shannon looked at Keven, then nodded, "Its okay with me" Shannon replied, Erin smiled wide and giggled

Keven gave Erin a smile.
"Seems like you have one adventure to look forward to, big girl."

Erin giggled, "Yep" she replied

Keven stood up and looked at Shannon and Erin.
"I think we shouldn't let them wait too long." he said.

Shannon nodded, "Right" she replied, her and Erin got up and walked back into the kitchen

Keven walked out of the room as the last one and got back to his place, giving me a small smile.

Erin returned to her chair and finished her dessert
