Dinner [Thomas, Shannon and Family]

I smiled and was glad that everything seemed to be okay now.

Thomas looked Erin, smiling at her, then at Haylen

I smiled back at him.
"I knew he could handle it." I said quietly.

Thomas nodded, "Aye" he replied

three days later, Thomas brought Erin by the NYPD mounted unit

Keven and I were waiting outside the stable, him holding my hand in his. I was glad that Keven and Erin were okay now and that he offered her such a nice adventure.

Erin walked into the building with Thomas and looked around, a smile on her face

Once I saw them I started walking up to them, Keven of course walking next to me. I was happy when I saw Erin smile.

Erin looked at Haylen, then ran over and hugged her

I hugged her back and then greeted Thomas. Keven also greeted Erin with a smile.

Thomas nodded to Haylen and Keven, "Thank you for letting Erin do this." he said to them

"You're both welcome." Keven said and I just smiled.

at the same time, Erin looked at one of the horses, "Hello" she said to him

Keven had followed her just to be sure nothing happened, though the horse was in it's box. The horse looked down and sniffed at Erin, carefully and then gently nudged Erin's chest.

Erin giggled a bit as the horse did that to her, "Your funny" she said to the horse, Thomas smiled a bit

The horse lifted his head and then snuffled.
"That is Officer Patrick, but he's mostly called Patty or Pat." Keven said to Erin as he gently petted the horses nose.

Erin smiled, "As in St. Patrick?" she asked, looking up to Keven

Keven nodded in reply and then picked her up, so she could pet Patrick's nose.

Erin smiled, then touched Patrick's nose, "Its so soft" she said

Pat snuffled again and then moved his head so he could see Erin and Keven moved a little and petted his neck with the mane.
"Aye, it is." Keven replied calmly. "They're very calm animals when everything is fine. Just don't make sudden moves, that scares them." he told her for safety and because he was enjoying the young girl's company and see how her eyes sparkled when she looked at 'Officer' Patrick.

Erin nodded, then continued to pet Patrick slowly, Thomas smiled at his daughter, she loved horses and this was making Erin's day

"You know, Officer Patrick has a day off, how about we take him for a small ride on the square in front of the stable?" Keven asked as he watched Erin and then glanced at Thomas.
I looked at Erin and then at Thomas as well.

Thomas nodded to Keven, Erin's face lit up when Keven said that, "I have no problem with it." Thomas said to Keven

Keven set Erin down again and then opened the door to Pat's box. He had his head-collar on and Keven grabbed the rope that was hanging on a hook at the door and attached it to it. Then he really opened the door and tied the end of the rope to the handle of the door and then mentioned to Erin to come inside.
"Walk slow and talk to him, so he knows where you are, okay?" he told Erin, holding out his hand to her. I watched them with a warm smile.
"Someone's making friends with your daughter." I said to Thomas.

"Aye" Thomas replied as he watched Erin and Keven

Erin walked up next to Patrick, amazed at how big he was, "Hello" she said to him, Patrick looked at her, "Your a big guy" she said

Patrick snuffled a little, but stood still, as if he knew that he could hurt the little girl that looked at him. Keven had a riding helmet attached to his belt handed it to Erin.
"Does it fit or do I need to make it a little smaller?" Keven asked once she had the helmet on.
