Lilyana's Story [Thomas]

Lilyana stopped, waited for him and held out her hand to him as well.

Thomas walked up and took her hand

Lilyana smiled a bit, now walking in the middle. I looked at Thomas and gave him a thankful smile.

Thomas nodded to Haylen in reply as they walked

We got into the elevator to get up to the lab. I knew that once we were there I would have to talk to Thomas as well.

once at the crime lab, Thomas took Lilyana and Haylen to his office

Lily sat down on a chair, looking at us.

Thomas sat next to her, "Lilyana, when your ready, tell us what happened." he said to her in a fatherly tone

She looked at him, nodding at the same time.
"He took me on my way home." she said quietly.

Thomas nodded, then wrote that down

I was sitting on the other side, holding her hand.
"I tried to fight back, I really did, but... well, he got me and took me to his place." she said and then told us what happened at that apartment. I was upset about what she told us, but kept my anger inside.

Thomas nodded, seeing the marks on her knuckles, "What happened next?" he asked gently

"He called ma, about the locker key. I called him a coward because he needed to tie an eleven year old..." she said, looking at Thomas. "He..."

Thomas watched her, "Lily, did he touch you inappropriately?" he asked gently

"No... but he hit me." she said quietly.
"For me that is inappropriately." I said quietly. Lilyana looked at me and nodded.
"He cut me free. I got into the kitchen, grabbed a knife I saw earlier and stabbed him... twice. But he had the key and the door was locked. I couldn't get out."

Thomas nodded, both in agreement to Haylen's statement and in reply to Lilyana's

"He got to me and then tied me up, just like you found me." Lilyana said, whiping her face, not wanting us to see that she had tears in her eyes.
"You're safe now, sweetie." I said in a gentle tone. She looked at me and nodded.
"He said something about a flight to Germany tonight." she added.

Thomas wrote all that down, then looked at Lilyana and Haylen when Lily said that, "Did he tell you why?" he asked, he had seen the postcard and knew that Connor was going to take her there, but they didn't know why

Lilyana shook her head.
"He didn't tell me anything about that." she said in a sad tone.

Thomas watched Lilyana, then reached over and gently touched her hand

Lilyana looked up at Thomas and tried a small smile.
"I wouldn't want to go back." she said quietly.

"You don't have to." Thomas said to her in German

Lilyana nodded and then let go of our hands, pulling the jacket closer around her.

Thomas watched her, then finished up with his writing

Lilyana looked at me and then down, as I gently stroke her back.
