Lilyana's Story [Thomas]

Thomas nodded, "Good luck" he replied

I smiled a little.
"Smart ass." I remarked.

"I know" Thomas replied, smiling a bit

I shook my head and smiled.

Thomas looked back at the road as he smiled, Lily was still out

I gently stroke my little girl's arm while she was sleeping, smiling a bit as I did so. I was surprised at times how fast and naturally I took over the role of being a mother.

Thomas soon got to Haylen's place, Lilyana was still asleep when he parked

I sighed a little not really wanting to wake her.
"We're home, sweetie." I said gently as she slowly woke up.

Lily's eyes fluttered open, she then sat up and looked around, the NYPD jacket still around her

"We're home." I repeated in a gentle tone. She pulled the jacked closer around her, nodded sleepily.

Thomas looked at Haylen, "She can keep it, I'll get another one." he told her

"Thank you uncle Thomas." Lily said still a bit sleepy. I nodded at him and helped Lily out of the car.

Thomas nodded back, "Your welcome" he replied, Lilyana held onto Haylen as they got out of the car

Lily smiled a bit at Thomas, not fully awake yet.

Thomas waived to her, then drove off

We watched him leave and the I picked Lily up, taking her inside. She rested her head on my shoulder and held onto me.
