Thomas looked up as well, "No, Amber was shaken up, but she is okay." the doctor replied

Danny nodded. "Thanks." he said.

Thomas nodded as well, "Your welcome, you may see Amber now." the nurse replied

Danny nodded and then looked at Thomas in a questioning way.

Thomas looked at Danny, "What is it?" he asked

"Just wonderin' who's goin' to get her." Danny replied.

Thomas nodded in reply, "I'll call Flack and see if he can find any other relatives."

"Maybe we should take her to the lab. Think she can be watched there while we're waitin'?" Danny asked, also thinking about the poor little cat that had to stay in it's small box for so long, but most import was the little girl.

Thomas nodded, "She can be" he replied

Danny nodded and then took the sleeping cat's box as he slowly walked over to the room where Amber was impatiently waiting for Thomas and Danny to pick her up. She made a sad face while alone.

Thomas walked up next to her, "Ready to go?" he asked

Amber's face lit up and she nodded eagerly, holding her hands out to Thomas.

Thomas smiled a bit, then helped Amber off the bed and walked with her out of the room

Outside Danny waited with the cat already back in the SUV.

Thomas and Amber soon joined up with him, "Is Lizzy okay?" Amber asked

Danny looked at the little girl and nodded.
"Peacefully sleepin'" he replied with a smile.

Amber smiled and nodded in reply, Thomas smiled a bit, then took her out of the hospital

Danny walked next to them, listening as Amber told them what the doctor did and said to her. He was amazed by the small girl.
"Cans I go see my mommy?" she then asked, as they reached the car.

Thomas looked at Danny, knowing her mom was still in the ICU

Danny looked at Thomas with a somewhat worried glance. He didn't want to say no to the little girl who went through so much today, but honestly he didn't want her to see her mother like that. She was too young to understand what happened and knowing how active young children were, it may be better to wait a little longer, till Jennifer was awake and out of the woods.
"You can see your mother later, sweetie. She needs to rest right now, okay?" he said looking at Amber.

Thomas saw the look on Danny's face, then looked at Amber, who nodded, "Is she okay?" she asked, Thomas got on her level, "Your ma is just fine Amber." he replied

Danny nodded in agreement. He hated the fact that they had to do it, but it was best for both of them.
"Alright, all set?"

Thomas stood up and nodded, as did Amber, "I am" the two replied at the same time

Danny nodded in agreement and offered his hand to Amber before they walked out of the hospital and to the car.
