Demons (Haylen, Stella)

Chelsea University research lab, 7:20 PM

Physics grad student Victoria Lightfoot was seated at one of the tables in the lab, going over the notes her professor and mentor Dr. Aaron Fletcher for his research into antimatter, as she worked, the sounds of a fight got her attention, Victoria looked up, then stood and walked down the hall, "Dr. Fletcher?" she called out after the sound died down, Victoria walked into the room and turned the light on, at which point she saw Aaron on the floor, dead, Victoria let out a scream, then ran back to her work station


a few minutes later.....

Det. Thomas Kelly of the NYPD Crime Lab parked near the front door to the lab, after getting his kit, he walked inside and over to Det. Flack, who filled him in on what had happened, at the same time, he looked over and saw Victoria with one of the responding officers, it was clear that she was shaken up about what she saw, Thomas thanked Flack, then walked over and started to process, as he did, he saw a word branded into Dr. Fletcher's forehead, "Whats that say?" he asked himself, looking closely, the word soon became clear to Thomas and it gave him a shock, "Illuminati" he said in a hushed whisper

I just arrived at the scene and heard him say something, but so quiet that it almost made me shiver a little.
"Can you repeat that for me, please?" I asked him, as I looked around a little.

Thomas looked back at Haylen, "The branding on Dr. Fletcher's forehead: Illuminati" he replied, a certain unease in his voice when he said that

Okay, now I knew why he said that so quiet and I gotta admit, I wasn't really comfortable about it either. I looked at him and nodded.
"Going to be a tough one..." I said, my tone making clear that I didn't like it at all.

Thomas nodded in reply, "Aye it will be" he replied as he started to process

I sighed a little and then helped him with the processing.

Thomas moved through the room, which was a mess, "Someone was in hurry to find something." he said to Haylen

I stood up from what I was processing and looked at Thomas.
"Yeah and I don't know if I dare to wonder what." I replied.

Thomas nodded, a few seconds later, he found out what the person was after, "Haylen over here" he called out

I looked up again when he called me and then walked over, wanting to know what he found.

Thomas was standing in front of a storage container for an antimatter device, "Looks like this is what they were after."

I raised my brows and frowned.
"Seems to be." I said quietly. "And it's contains seems dangerous and yet powerful enough to kill for."

Thomas nodded, "Enough of this can either be turned into a power source or deadly weapon." he replied

little did they know, thats what was happening, the person behind the theft met with another man, both spoke in Italian, "The plan is in motion" one of them said

I nodded as I listened. "Well, looks like they are more into the deadly part of it." I said and sighed.


the other man nodded.

"Aye" Thomas replied, "And the Illuminati are behind it, what ever their plan is." he added


"Begin the second part of the plain." the first man replied, the second man nodded, then looked at a black and white photo of a priest

"That is the part that actually scares me: their plan." I replied, looking at him.

Thomas nodded, "I have a feeling its going to get worse." he replied

"Agreed." I said and looked around once more. "Did you find anything?"

"Just some footprints that belong to both the victim and the our suspect." Thomas replied

"Wasn't that lucky. Let's hope they'll get us somewhere." I said.

Thomas nodded, then followed the set of prints that led out the back door

I saw them as well and followed him out.

the path led them down to the ally behind the lab, were it ended, "Nothing" Thomas said to Haylen after looking around

"Well, I doubt the suspect can just turn into dust, though." I said, also looking around.

Thomas nodded, "Aye" he replied while looking around


at the same time, the thief from before found the priest in his church, "Whos there?" the priest called out
