Demons (Haylen, Stella)

Thomas shut it off, "Aye" he replied, it then hit him, "The path of Illumination" he said to her

"You kidding me?" I asked a little surprised. "How are we supposed to find that?"

"No I'm not" Thomas replied, "The Illuminati were infiltrators and survived by hiding in plan sight. In each city there were in, they left subtle clues to their members so that they could find their meeting place."

I looked at him, with slightly raised brows as I listened. Then I sighed a little.
"So we have to find the clues now?"

Thomas nodded, then went back in the church

"Wonderful...." I said quietly and followed him back inside.

back inside the church, Thomas looked around, he sound found the first marker on the path

I didn't see it at first.

"Over here" Thomas called out to Haylen

I heard him and walked up to him.
"So?"

"This statue is the first marker" Thomas replied, "And it is telling us to go this way."

"I see. Then lets see where that leads us to." I said.

Thomas nodded, at the same time, he saw the word water below the statue before heading out, that gave him a bad feeling, once outside, he looked around, Central Park was across the way

I noticed the word below the statue as well and frowed when I looked around.
"The fountain in Central Park?"

Thomas looked over, then nodded, "Aye" he replied while walking over in that direction

I sighed a bit and walked next to him, preparing me for whatever was waiting there for us.

Thomas got to the fountain and looked around

I frowned when I looked around as well and saw nothing out of the ordinary at first. That was frustrating.

Thomas didn't see anything either, until some bubbles got his attention, "Haylen!" he called out

I almost jumped when I heard him calling my name and hurried over. "What's up?"

"In the fountain" Thomas replied, he then dove in to help the guy he saw

I nodded and went to help him, hoping we weren't too late yet.

Thomas got the guy out and tried to revive him

Since I couldn't do much, I was on the phone, praying Thomas would succeed.

Thomas kept trying, but all efforts were in vain, "Haylen, he's gone" he said to her, seeing the branding on the guy's chest
