I see Catherine walking into the elevator and I run after her and jump into the elevator. "Hey!" she's not gonna believe this I swear,.. neither did I when I heard it.

"Hey Stella!" I smile widely on her sneaking moves. "What's up?"

"you are not gonna believe this.... remember when I told about Mac's mom?" I say a bit shocked

"Yeah... What did he say???" I shake her lightly in anticipation.

"well he didn't really say what he said to her because he sort of avoided that part, his mother said more... She wants him to have someone to rely on and even get married again :\ She asked him why he didn't try that with me...... :\ His mom has gone crazy"

I don't think she's crazy. I think it's a very good idea Give a try! ;D

"Oh shut up, I'm not going to marry him!!!! not in a million years"

I laugh and nudge her. "You're making a cute couple! And he certainly has a thing for you" ;D

"That's good for him but srsly I don't like him that way! he's my best friend!"

"Ok." I smile at her. "I'm just saying that if you do like him more than 'best friend' then I think he has feelings for you too."

"But I'm not having any feelings for him and if his mom doesn't stop saying things like that I'm gonna call her!!"

I stop laughing and smile lightly. "Do what you think is the best. If it bothers you that much then I think you should talk to her about it."

"I should... she better not give Mac any ideas! it would only break his heart" I frown and look at you

I look at you and sigh. "Maybe you should talk about it with him too. Just to be sure!"

"and say what? oh hey Mac you better don't try to hit on me or anything because I'm not into you" I raise my eyebrow and look at you

I think for a bit and reply "Maybe exactly like that but bit more gently. Like... Uhmm.. hmm... I don't know. Sorry" It's harder than expected to give advice on something like that. With Alex I didn't have a problems like that. He waited patiently till I'm ready for it.

"how can you say it more gently? if you say it too gently he won't understand.." :\

"That's true but maybe he's too scared to make the move and then you have nothing to worry about."

You could be right about that, I just have to keep my distance, he'll understand it like that I hope

"If you start avoiding him then he will get suspicious! Are you sure you want that? I mean... right now you spend lot of time together but if you suddenly start saying no he WILL ask about it."

"What do you want then? if I tell him he's never gonna talk to me again" :S

I sigh and try to think a solution. "Just be with you and when it comes up then tell him how you feel. He'll understand. He's your best friend, that's not going to change just because you don't feel the same way"

"that sounds like I'm gonna b in a very awkward situation sometime soon.. the worse part is that I don't seem to care if he stays my best friend anymore, after the whole Peyton thing and all those girls.. maybe I should just move away" :\

"Peyton? The girl who dumped him by letter? She's back? What other girls? You haven't told me a thing about it" I notice we're almost on the ground floor and push the stop button so she can finish before anyone interrupts us.

"Yes she's back and there were a couple other women who tried to hit on him and did seem very interested. Listen Cath.. I loved him but I think I grew over that part over the years"
