Some Secrets Cause Trouble [Thomas, Stella, Lindsay]

Thomas nodded, then told him

At the same time, being on call this night, I was called to another case. The officer calling me had no further information, but the address I was given worried me. So I got ready and headed over to Thomas' place.
He was just finished talking to another officer when I arrived.
"Tom... you okay?"

Thomas looked at Haylen, then nodded, "I am, but Alex will not be coming around us anymore." he replied, coming off his SAS mode

I nodded, gently touching his shoulder.
"He'll be going six feet under. And I should go to confession for my thoughts about that..." I replied, looking around.

Thomas nodded, "I will have to as well" he replied

"I know you already gave your statement..." I said, looking at him.

Thomas nodded, "Aye" he replied

"I'm glad you're okay." I said honestly. "Well... you know the procedure. I'll call when I need anything else."

Thomas nodded, then went to check on his family

I sighed a little and watched him leave, before I started to process the scene. For once I was glad it was me doing it. As I watched Alex' body being taken away the memories of what happened came back, causing me to shiver a bit, but I quickly pushed them away and got to work.

back inside, Thomas sat with his family and comforted them, Shannon was not one to be easily rattled, but she was glad Thomas was okay, as were the kids

I finished processing the scene and then checked with the officer who took Thomas' statement and then checked with the officer who was knocked out by Alex at the hospital. I knew Thomas' wouldn't just kill a guy because he didn't like him and the evidence confirmed Tom's statement.

at the same time, Thomas took Shannon and the girls to the hotel that was near by

I was at the lab, writing my final report, as it was an up and close case this time. I leaned back in chair, hoping my friends were going to be okay.

at the hotel, the kids were asleep, Thomas and Shannon stood by the window and held each other

I spoke to Mac before I left.
Message from Mac: you two have the next two days off. Case wrapped for good. See you around, Hay. I texted Thomas.

Thomas looked at the message, then relaxed, he welcomed the break

I got home, showered and snuggled under my covers, letting the memories haunt me one last time.

Thomas and Shannon soon got to bed as well
