Attack at the Cinema [Shannon, Thomas, Everyone]

Shannon smiled a bit, then headed out

Once she left I walked up the stairs and up to Erin's room, knocking on the door, softly.

Erin looked up when she heard the knock, her stuffed dog and lamb under her arms, "Yes?" she called out

I peered into the room, seeing her and smiled.
"Want some company?" I asked softly.

Erin nodded, then looked back at her stuffies

I walked up to her, kneeling down next to her bed, looking at the two stuffies.
"So, who are your adorable friends?"

"Ruffis and Molly" Erin replied

"Those are nice names for them. They're cute." I said smiling.

Erin smiled a bit, then leaned on Haylen's arm, "I'm tired of being scared all the time."

I nodded a little when she said that.
"You know, actually it's not bad to be scared every once in a while." I said seriously.

Erin looked up at her, "How?" she asked, a little confused

"When I was at your age I was just like you, Erin, in many ways. A shy and quiet girl. That changed as I was getting older and did a lot of sports stuff and that training at the police school." I said, trying to explain that to her. "Today, I'm not really scared of anything, mostly and sometimes that makes things worse than they are."

Erin nodded, "But, mommy told me that all people get scared." she replied

"That's true. At some point even I get scared." I nodded in agreement.

Erin nodded, then rested her head back on Haylen

I gently stroke the little girls head.
"You know... I started getting more couragous when I took classes in self denfese." I said quietly, actually just mentioning it.

"Whats that?" Erin asked while she closed her eyes

"It's a class where you learn how to fight back and defend yourself when someone attacks you." I tried to explain.

"Oh" Erin nodded, she then looked up at Haylen, "Could you teach me?"

"Well, I can, if your parents agree to that." I said, after thinking for a while.

Erin nodded, then hugged Haylen

I held her close. Inside I understood what she meant with being tired of being scared all the time.

Erin smiled, then looked at her stuffies again

I smiled.
"I'll be right back, just checking on Colleen." I said and got up from the floor.

"Okay" Erin replied as she looked at her stuffies
