Beach Volleyball [Everyone]

A warm summer day at Manhattan Beach:

Finally, for the first time this months I managed to get a day off. It was a Friday and it was nice, not too hot and not too cold. A beautiful day of summer. I was at Manhattan Beach, dressed in short pants and a tank top, my volleyball in my hands.
I was on my way to the field, not noticing that someone I knew already noticed me and came walking up to me from the other side.

it was Shannon, "Haylen, hello" she called out to her coworker while walking up to her, dressed in a similar fashion as Haylen

I turned around when I heard the familiar voice. Seeing Shannon I stopped and waited for her.
"Hey." I greeted with a smile.

Shannon smiled back, "Wow, you look great" she said to her

I blushed a little and smiled.
"Thanks, you, too." I said, meaning it.

"Thanks" Shannon replied, "Looks like I still have it after having four kids." she said in a teasing manner

"Definitely." I agreed, but actually meaning it. "Wanna play?" I asked her, holding the ball up.

Shannon smiled, "Of course" she replied

I smiled and got onto the field, walking to the side behind the net and waiting for her to get ready.

Shannon set her bag down, then walked out onto the court

Once she was ready I threw the ball up above my head and then passed the ball to Shannon.

Shannon watched, then passed the ball back

I had a little run to get the ball but I managed and passed it back to Shannon. It's been a while since I played the last time, but it still was fun.

Shannon smiled, then passed the ball back to her

And once again I got it. A few moments later two girls walked up to the field. They were dressed in their bikini's and about 16.

Shannon looked at the two girls as they walked up

"May we join you?" one of the girls asked kindly. She had long blond curls and bright green eyes. Her friend had shorter black hair and blue eyes.
I caught the ball and looked at Shannon. "What do you think?"

Shannon looked at Haylen, then back at the girls, "Sure" she replied, Shannon then walked over to Haylen's side of the court

The girls got to the side where Shannon was before and smiled.
"Thanks!" they said in unison and I went back to the end of the field and set the ball.

"Your welcome" Shannon called out while getting ready

I set the ball and it got to the other side of the field as I stepped back into ours and waited for the girls to pass it back and they did.

Shannon watched the ball, then passed it back to the girls

The blond girls got a good move and passed the ball back to me and I had to hurry a little to get it.

Shannon watched, "Get it Haylen" she called out

I nodded and was determined to get it, though it was a little hard, but my training still showed it's effect, at least a little. Yeah, young Haylen was a sports freak.
