Ivy's Problem (Mac, and Ivy)

I was walking for speak to Mac about Ivy's problem. I enter in his office after I knock.

Hearing the knock on the door I looked up and saw Danny.
"Anything I can do for you?"

I walked in, and close the door. "Can I talk with you"

I nodded.
"What is it?"

I move in his direction and then starts. "It's about Ivy"

Picking up her name I looked at him in wonder and waited for him to start.

"She is too much implicated in the case" I said as I saw him looking at me like he was waiting for something. "This case we are working on is about a serial killer, and she was one of this victim"

I listened closely and then sighed a little.
"So you're asking me to pull her from the case?" I asked him, actually a little surprised that Ivy didn't come to talk to me right away.

"I don't know what to do" I said after I sighed too, I was also more stuck in something I can control. "I don't know if she has to be pull from the case, or she is have to stay on"

"Well, if she was a victim of that serial killer, Danny, you know I have to pull her from the case." I said seriously. "She is a good detective and scientist, but it's against protocol to work on a case if you're a victim."

"I know" I just said, good he said what I didn't want to say but what I thought. But I know how smart he is, and he will figure out that there were something between Ivy and I, and also he will discover that I didn't want to say to Ivy that she can't work on, but I thought it anyway. I just doesn't want that it comes from me.

Of course I noticed that there was something between Ivy and Danny and I figured that he didn't want to talk to her, because she probably would be mad at him. That was something I understood, but even then they both had to learn that what happened in here on a case was professional, not personal.
"You know, you two have to learn that talking to her about a case she shouldn't work is something that you should never take personally." I said, choosing my words wisely.

Okay, he knew. "Does it mean that I have to be out of the case too ?"

"No. It just means that if you told it was better not to work on this case anymore, she shouldn't be mad at you. it shows that you care for her." I said.

"No, she won't" I replied. "She left 8 years ago when it happenned, and she did same today again."

I sighed. Now it was getting a little more difficult.
"You think she's running?"

"She is avoidin' it, yes" I just said. "She doesn' talk to me Mac"

I sighed. It was a side of Ivy I wasn't used to. When I hired her she didn't seem like the avoiding kind of woman.
"Give her some time and work the case. We gotta get this serial killer this time, Danny." I said seriously. "When he's behind bars, where he belongs, try and talk to her again."

I sighed, he didn't help me. "So that is what I should do, wait?" I said with a little expression

I looked up at him, noticing the look on his face.
"Either that or go after her and show her you're not backing down, nor leaving her to deal with this on her own."

"I already did it, during 8 years." I commented. "I don't know what she is waiting from me"

"It's not always easy to deal with certain things, Danny. I don't know Ivy that well to guess why she's not talking to you, but maybe she thinks that you might think her weak for whatever reason." I said, actually not really sure about that, but it was something I thought could be the reason.

I was thinkin about something, I was in the same position than her. And Mac didn't forget it about Louie. "So you can tell her to don't work in the case?"

"I can talk to her and I certainly will pull her." I said confidently.

She will hate me for it, I thought. "She will hate me"
