A little talk [Mac]

"Thanks for the coffee and the cookie, they were really good" I tell him and get up "I think I should be going home now"

I nod and get up, too.
"Thanks for dropping by. And... you can tell Eleni that I'm not mad at her and she owes me a sleep over now." I say, ending on a lighter note.

"I'll let her know" I tell him with a smile and pull him in a hug. not sure if that was a good idea or not but I just hugged him without thinking.

And of course I hugged her back, smiling a little. I placed a soft kiss on her cheek before I pulled back.
"Like it or not, but you still belong to my family, though maybe not in reality, but in my mind and heart." I said warmly, but accepted that she didn't want to live together with me.

Hearing his words were breaking my heart, I don't know why but it just did, it was somehow so sad. I don't even dare to look in his eyes, knowing I would probably see something I didn't want to see, sadness.

I noticed she didn't look up at me and so just left it. Though I wasn't as sad I expected, actually I gave her a loving look.
"Just sayin'."

"Ok well I better go now" I give him a small smile and grab my car keys. I walk to the door and open it by myself and step out of his apartment. I look back at him and wave with my keys in my hand "bye"

"Bye." I said as I watched her leave. Get home savely. I thought.

I smile at him before turning around and heading home

As she was out of my sight, closed from view by the elevator doors I closed my door and walked back into the living, sitting down on my favorite arm chair, thinking.

When I get home I unlock the door and find Eleni in her bedroom. "Hey sweetie, I spoke to Mac, you are still wanted there" I tell he with a smile as I walk into her bedroom. "Eleni?" I say in shock.

Back in my apartment I felt like something was wrong, but I just wasn't sure what, though suddenly Eleni comes to my mind and I got up to get my phone.

I run to her and grab my phone and call 991. I grab a few pills which are laying next to her. "Sleeping pills" where the hell did she got them from..... Eleni was still breathing but not responding to whatever I was saying to her. Tears start running down my face and pray the ambulance would arrive quick.

I get my phone and call Stella, hoping she'd pick up and I was just paranoid.

After I called 911 I hear my phone buzz alive and look on the display.. "Mac..." I wipe my tears away and pick up "Mac I have no time to talk, Eleni has to go to the hospital..."

"What?!" I asked in shock as my feeling came true. "What happened?"

"I'm not sure but there are laying sleeping pills and I'm not sure how much she took....." I explain while rushing to the door to open it for the ambulance people to get Eleni....

"Damn it.... Where are you going to?" I asked her, knowing that she probably wouldn't have much time, but this was me and Eleni was my daughter, too and I said Stella will always belong to my family. Now it was time to prove that. I wasn't going to leave her alone with this.

"Bellevue hospital... meet me there ok..." I sigh and follow Eleni and the guys outside

"Definitely." I said and got myself ready to head for the hospital. My mind was now racing with a hundred thoughts.
Kid, why the hell did you do that? I wondered and was hoping she was going to be okay as I walked into the hospital, looking for Stella.

I see Mac walking into my direction. I had to wait in the hallway.. I hated waiting.. "Mac!" I say loud enough for him to hear it

I hear Stella call my name and hurry up to her, still dressed in my sweatpants and sweater, but I didn't care.
Without actually thinking about it I pull her into my arms.

I quickly wrap my arms around him and rest my head on his shoulder, closing my eyes. "I have no clue why....." I tell him quietly

I just hold her close, giving her some kind of comfort. I didn't see this coming. No one did.
"It's okay..." I say gently, though I have an idea why she could have done it.

"It's not ok, they are probably emptying her stomach or something.." I try to hold back my tears but hell my kid is in the hospital..
