Melina is a hard working cold case detective from washington DC. she wanted to be a detective since she was 10 and understood how important it is to have those people in a big city. She asked for a transever to new york when she found out her sister didn't die in the car accident with her mom. Melina wanted to find her sister and this was the only way to find he

Melina grew up with only a dad, Her mum died in a car accident, she always thought that her one year older sister died in there as well. As Melina got older her dad told her that nobody ever mentioned a child in the car accident so he never heard of her again. Melina couldn't believe nobody ever brought her sister back. Their dad still lives in America and they go and see him every christmas so they can be a family.
Melina and Stella go to visit their mothers grave together and place flowers by her headstone!
Since Melina moved to NYC her and Stella have hit it off really well and are so happy that they have found each other.
Melina also recognises the friendship between Mac and Stella and is happy for her siser. Melina had a boyfriend back when she was with her father but they agreed to go their seperate ways when she moved but agreed to stay in touch.
Melina is happy she has a family again and won't let anything tear them apart again!!
