| It's nearly Christmas and we would decorate the Christmas tree today.
Mac wasn't able to take a break from his work so he told us to decorate the tree ourselves.
Of course I hoped he would be here like every year, But I understood he couldn't. there were so many crimes now that he couldn't just leave.
I grab the box with the Christmas decoration and walk up to the living room where I found Karina playing with some dolls.
"Are you going to help mommy with decorating the tree Karina?"

I hate to say he's working, because I have to say it so often lately and I can tell you, Karina is missing him and so do I.
He better be home with Christmas, last year I almost had to drag him home....

I ask her. I hate it that Daddy is never at home. I'm really sad about this but I can see that Mommy isn't that happy about that as well. |

Mac really needs to take some days off... and spend some time with his daughter and me. |

I'm looking down cause I am sad. I want so badly that Daddy is coming home. This would be definitly my biggest wish for christmas, next to the wish that I want a sister or a brother. I'd like to have a sister cause my friend told me that brothers are silly. |

I know Mac loves Karina, but it's so hard for him to work less then he used to.
all those years he lived for his work and now he has to live for karina, me and his work.
I know it's tough on him, Still I think he has to understand that his girl needs him. |

| I sigh.. what can I say to her? the truth and the truth is that I have no idea, I hope soon is tonight, but she will be in bed when he will come home.. he's asking me everytime how karina is doing and I guess tonight I have to say.. not good.. she's missing you...

I ask. Today I ask a lot, normally I didn't do this but I wanted to see my Daddy. And I didn't understand why Mommy didn't know when Daddy is coming at home. She has to know it. |

| I feel tears burning in my eyes, but I can't cry in front of my child... I really wish I could tell her he would be home at 4pm..
even if he promises to come by that time he would call and say he would be home at 5....

of course she doesn't understand that on her age.. I doubt if I can ever understand that Mac can't come home.. |
