school shooting (Ivy, Mac, Katrina)

Sara was sitting in the library working on an assignment for her AP European History class, she got up to get a book from the shelf that was across the way when there was a loud bang from outside, Sara jumped a bit, then looked out the window, seeing a man with a rifle, at the same time, the school went on lock down, Sara got underneath the table with the rest of her class

I was in my office working on a report for Sinclair when he came almost storming into my office and told me about a shooting at a school nearby. When he told me the name of the school my mind was on alert: first thought: Katrina. Second thought: Sara. Third thought: all the other students and teacher. He said that so far there were no victims, but it was only a matter of time till that guy would get one. So I quickly got up went to the lab to get my kit and decided to take Ivy with me.
"School shooting just a few blocks away. I want you to come with me." I said to Ivy while I got my kit, just in case. I'll need it anyways, even if there weren't any victims.

"Got it," I said and stood up. Mac seemed worried. I followed him, trying to stay close, although he was walking extremely quickly. "Anyone hurt, or murdered?" I asked, looking straight at him, as we entered the elevator.

"Not yet and I hope it stays that way." I told her. "Besides... Sinclair got this one on his personal control, so we might watch our back to not get into trouble with him."

I nodded. I had heard many things about Chief Sinclair, so I understood him. Then I turned again. I thought had seen something in his eyes before, but now I was sure. "Are you okay?" I finally asked. "You seem... worried."

I looked up at Ivy with a quite surprised glance and first I think about my trademark yes, but then rethink. Why should I lie about it?
"Well, just that I know a few students that go there. My cousin's one of them and also Thomas Kelly's daughter Sara." I told her. She was right: I was worried about them.

"Oh," I said, lowering my eyes for a second. "Then we should hurry," I continued, as we left the elevator and started to the door.

"Right." I said and followed her, then we made our way to the school.

meanwhile, Sara was still underneath the table, gunshots still rattling the walls of the building, even thought the shooter was not near the library, it was still nerve rattling to her, Sara clutched her rosary and started to pray to herself

We weren't even that close of the school when we heard gunshots. "So it's not over," I said while looking back to Mac. It was the first situation of this type I had to confront and it was scary. I stopped, as he came near me.

"Not yet and I guess we don't have any chance to get him to stop other than taking him down. Think you can do that?" I asked Ivy, knowing that this was probably the first time she was in a situation like this, but that was why I took her with me. Better she learned it with me around than if she had to fend for herself, with maybe less experienced people around.

inside, the shooter had entered the library, Sara kept her cool, not wanting to give away were she was, at the same time, Thomas and Shannon arrived, Shannon was the most worried, hoping that Sara was unharmed, "Mac, we have to get in there now." Shannon said to him

"I know, Shannon. But we have to be very careful. My cousin is in there as well." I said to Shannon and then looked at Ivy. "You ready?"

I took a deep breath. Can I? What if I wasn't good enough?
"Yes," I said shortly, looking at Mac, ignoring Thomas and his wife, who had arrived there too.

"Good. Then lets get into the vest and inside." I said and handed her the vest I got from another officer and then got into my own one. Then I looked at Shannon and Thomas.
"You two go in together. I'll take Ivy with me." I said and then nodded to all them as we got moving.

Thomas checked his side arm, Shannon nodded, then did the same, hoping that Sara was going to be okay as her and Thomas got vests on, inside, the shooter walked right past were Sara was hiding, Sara staid still, not saying a word

I got my vest on and took another breath. Good thing that I was with Mac, that was making me less nervous. "Okay, I'm ready," I said and watched him, ready to follow.

I looked back at Ivy.
"Watch your back and always try to get a hiding place if possible. I'll be always at your side and help. I know it's probably your first time in this situation and don't worry, you're going to do just fine." I told her, encouraging.

Thomas and Shannon soon finished, then waited for Mac to give the signal to enter the school, Shannon was on pins and needles about Sara

"Okay," I said with a little smile.
I took out my gun and made a few steps, following Mac.

As Ivy said she was ready I nodded to Shannon and Thomas and carefully got moving towards the school.
"Any idea where Sara could be?" I asked before I entered the school. I knew Katrina was supposed to be here, too, but I didn't know her schedule so she was harder to find, I thought.

"The library" Thomas and Shannon replied, remembering that she had AP European History at this time

"Okay. We'll make our way there. Be careful." I said to them and then entered the school.

We entered the school. I didn't know where the library was, as I hadn't studied there, so I just followed the others silently.

Since Katrina was going to school here I knew my way around a little. Even though finding the library couldn't be that hard. I just hoped that the girls along with the other students will be okay.
