First day with the new family (Kellys)

I nod and go to her room and knock.

"Yes?" Erin called out, not looking up from her lamb

I walk in. "Hey."

Erin looked up at Katrina, "Hi" she replied

I sit on the bed with her. "I'm sorry Erin." I 'm not sure how to tell not everyone believes in god

"Yours forgiven" Erin replied, she sniffed, then looked back at the lamb she was holding

I look at her not sure what else to say.

Erin sat there, looking at the lamb, "Whys don'ts you believe?" she asked after a while

"I just don't." I say its a little hard to tell a little girl why you don't believe in something.

Erin looked at her, "Whys?" she asked, her eyes pleading with Katrina, "Its not scarys" she added

"I lost my faith when my dad started drinking and hittin' me." I say and look down.

"Whys he hurt you?" Erin asked

"Made him feel better I guess." I say to her.

Erin nodded slowly, Shannon heard the conversation from outside, "Yours still loved" Erin said to Katrina, that brought a smile to Shannon's face, at the same time, a tear came to her eye

I look at her. "I know Mac loves me same as Dan, but thats about it girlie. I got no other family other then them." I say to her.

Erin looked at Katrina, "They ares nots the only ones that love you." she said

"Who else?" I ask looking at her.

Erin got a picture of the nightstand next to her bed and showed it to Katrina, "He does" she replied

I look at the little girl and look at the picture.

Erin started to smile as Katrina looked at the picture

I felt a little weird sitting there now.

"Whats is it?" Erin asked as she looked at Katrina

"I'm umm not really sure God give a crap about me." I say with a little laugh.
