"What?" Thomas asked

Kat sat Star down. "I'll be right back baby." With that Kat walked outside.

"Just surprised about your statement." I replied.

Thomas nodded, then watched as Katrina left the room

I watched her leave and then look at Star.

Thomas did the same, "Where is she going?" he asked

I look at Thomas and shrug.
"I don't know. But I guess she's going to be fine."

Thomas relaxed a bit, then sat back on the couch

I noticed it and was a little more relieved, though still looking at Star who was looking at te door right now.

Thomas looked at Star, then wondered if Katrina was okay

Katrina sat outside for a bit.
Star stared at the door.

"She's coming back, sweetie." I said to Star. But much like Thomas I was wondering if she was okay.

at the same time, Thomas got up and walked outside, "Katrina?" she asked

I knelt down next to Star, looking at her with a small smile.

outside, Thomas stood next to Katrina

Katrina looked up at him. "Yeah?"
Star smiled at him.

Thomas sat next to her, "What is it?" he asked

Kat looked at him. "Nothing its stupid."

"No its not Katrina" Thomas replied gently

"yea it is its just childish." She said looking away.

"Katrina, what ever it is, you can tell me." Thomas replied

"I just don't like talking or hearing about my father. And I don't want Star to hear a thing about that man." She said.

Thomas listened to her, then nodded, "Why don't you want to talk about him?, did he hurt you in anyway?" he asked gently

She looked at him. "Are you kidding me? HE beat the crap out of me all the time." She said in a hurtful voice.

Thomas saw and heard the hurt, knowing he said the wrong thing to her
