Thomas could not beleive what Mac had just told him, the Greek Prime Minister's daughter, Athena Rosi, was in New York to deliver a speech at the U.N. and he was selected to head up her protective detail, "Mac, you sure about this?" he asked, "I know that I was in the SAS and had have training in this area, but why me?" Thomas added as he stood in front of his boss's desk

I looked at my co worker and knew I was asking a lot from him, but it wasn't my idea at all, though in the end I agreed to the request coming from the VIP guest.
"Well, first of all, I know you speak greek. I know Stella does, too and I suggested that she gets that job, but Ms Rosi eagerly requested you for that job." I said to him, not really knowing the reason why she did that, though I had some ideas.

Thomas nodded in reply, "What time does her flight come in?" he asked, getting into the role, but still confused as to why Ms. Rosi asked for a detective from the crime lab to head up her detail here

"Tonight at 7." I said to him. "Are you sure you're okay with the job?"

Thomas made a mental note of that, "Yes, I am" he replied, ""I would like to have Stella on this job as well." he added

I looked at him for a moment and thought about it. I nodded.
"I think I can arrange that." I replied.

Thomas nodded slightly, he remembered what his mentor in the SAS told him during their VIP protection training, "Try to have two of everything", in this case, he would have one other person fluent in Greek on his team

"Let me know if there is anything else you need." I said, before I called Stella to my office.

"Well, mostly angry words, though one threatened to kill her when she's in town." I said and handed him a file that held the threats and also that one guy we could identify for the killing threat.

taking the file from Mac, Thomas opened in and looked over the threat list, which was rather long, along with the list was a photo of Ms. Rosi, she looked like a young Dora Bakoyannis, a previous Greek Minister for Foreign Affairs, seeing all the threats made on her, Thomas knew that her threat level would be rather high, but one stood out to him, "Who is this New Greece movement?" he asked

"We don't know, yet. But there must be a picture and profile of a Mr. Harry Lambert. We could identify him to be part of that groub." I tol him. "Apparently you should keep your eyes open for him."

Thomas looked at Mac as he spoke, then at Harry's profile, "Ex-U.S. Army Special Forces, expert in weapons and unarmed combat, dishonorable discharge, accused of executing prisoners." he said out loud, "Moved to Greece after leaving the army" he added, "I take it he is the head of this movement?"

"At least from what I was able to find out he is." I said, looking at him directly. "That training he has only leaves the two of us for the job and Ms Rosi and her father strongly requested you and I guess I don't have to explain why." I ended on a lighter tone.

Thomas spun on his heal and walked out of Mac's office, heading down the hall to the elevator, file in hand, in the back of his head, he figured that this New Greece movement was going to make an attempt on Ms. Rosi, "If memory serves me right: the Greek government has recently began trade with Israel." he said out loud

I had followed him and looked at Thomas in a questioning way.
"You think that has something to do with threats?" I asked, actually just saying what I was thinking about his comment.

"Its a possibility" Thomas replied, "Many nations and people in the area are rather touchy about those who trade with Israel." he added

"Yeah... maybe that groub is one of those who don't like people trading with Israel." I said. It was indeed a possibilty.

THe rest of the way I was rather quiet, thinking about that group which threatened Athena Rosi. I knew why, in the end I agreed to Ms. Rosi's request of having Thomas in her detail, but still I was hoping that everything would go right and nothing bad would happen, though I knew it probably wasn't going to be that case.

"I feel you don't like the fact that her room is on the top floor?" I asked him, not really liking this myself. It had advantages for her as a tourists, because it had a good view over the city, but it was bad for emergencies.

"Aye" Thomas replied, "We can advise her permanent detail to move her room to the sixth floor, but we can not force them to if she refuses." he stated, "Designate one room on the sixth floor as a jump room in case of fire."
