At the rink (everyone)

Thomas sat in the bleachers at the NYU ice rink, watching his daughter Bridgett practice for an upcoming event, "Very good Bridgett, remember to keep your arms in." her coach said to her as she skated by, Thomas smiled bit, he was proud of her, it made him and Shannon happy to she her be successful, as he sat and watched her, he did not see that one of his coworkers was walking over to were he was sitting

"she's really good at this huh" Stella said while walking up to him "when is her next competition? I'd like to go watch her" I tell him and sit down next to him, watching bridgett

Thomas looked at Stella, "Aye she is" he replied, "Her next competition is in March." he added

"Is there a possibility that I can come and look with that competition?" I ask with a smile

"You can" Thomas replied, "You family to us Stella, Bridgett would be excited if you could come." he added

"That's great I'd love to see her skate" I say with a smile while I watch her on the ice

Thomas smiled, then looked back at Bridgett, she was attempting a jump

As expected the jump went well and she landed perfectly.

Thomas smiled as he watched Bridgett land her jump, she was very talented for her age, after a while, her practice was over and Bridgett walked up to Thomas, "Very good Bridgett" Thomas said to her, "Thanks daddy" she replied

I had been watching Bridgett's practice from a little distance, seeing her aftrer I exited the NYU, after seeing an old professor of mine, who became a friend of mine during my studies and especially after I graduated. From time to time I would go and visit him, just talking or be a guest in one of his classes, like today.
Though, I wasn't feeling that well today, probably got a cold and probably had a little temperature, so I actually wanted to go home, but just couldn't stop watching Bridgett. She was a talented young girl. Since Stella was with Thomas and her, I didn't really feel like intruding, so I prepared myself to leave, just as I had to sneeze. Gee, thanks....

Thomas smiled, then kissed Bridgett on her head as he held her

I hadn't been detected yet, but I somehow felt bad for avoiding them so I decided to walk up to them and at least say hi. But the little girl was faster in seeing me than the adults around her.

Bridgett saw Haylen and smiled, "Aunt Haylen!" she called out, Thomas turned around and saw her when Bridgett called out

I dropped my gaze to the ground for a second and then looked up, giving them a smile and finally walked up to them.
"Hey, sweetie." I greeted Bridgett but didn't give her the usual hug as I didn't want her to get sick, too. "Hi, Thomas." I said to him and then greeted Stella.

Bridgett tried to hug Haylen the same way that Haylen was doing, "Hellos" she said, "Hello Haylen" Thomas said to her

"Sorry sweetie, no hug today. I don't want you to get sick." I said to Bridgett, a little sad that I had to do it.

Bridgett pulled back, "Bes better soon Aunt Haylen" the little girl said to her

"I try, thank you." I said to her with a sweet smile.

Bridgett smiled back, then stood next to Thomas, still in her practice clothes

"Besides, Bridgett, you were really good." I complimented.

"Thanks you" Bridgett replied, smiling at the same time

"You're welcome." I said to her and then looked at Thomas.
"Well, guess I should see that I get home then..."

Thomas nodded, "That would be best if you did" he replied, "You could use the rest" he added

"Do I look that bad?" I asked him a little sadly.

Thomas nodded, "Aye" he said softly, "Aunt Haylen, is nots right for a princess to bes sick." Bridgett said to her
