I didn't notice that, as I passed out, but I was going to wake up soon again.

Thomas had gotten Haylen to the EMTs by this time, they were getting her hooked up to an IV while getting her to the hospital

On the way there I woked up and was a little confused, so I looked around, though a bit slower that normal.

Thomas took her hand, "Haylen, squeeze my hand if you can hear me."

Once I heard his voice I turned my head and focused my eyes on him, squeezing his hand, letting him know I was going to be okay.

Thomas smiled a bit when he felt Haylen squeeze his hand

I winced a little, because my headache returned and closed my eyes for moment.

"Your safe Haylen" Thomas said to her gently after seeing her wince

I looked at him and nodded slightly. But inside I was mad at myself and I thought he may be too.
"I'm sorry...." I said, almost in a whisper.

Thomas looked at Haylen, "Don't worry about it" he replied

I relaxed a little and closed my eyes again.

Thomas smiled a bit, then sat back

I opened my eyes when one of the paramedics asked me if I knew what I was given. I regretted that I opened my eyes, feeling my head pounding. I tried to hide a wince and shook my head. I didn't know.

Thomas watched her, as did the paramedics, "Detective, do you know what they gave you?" one asked again

I looked at the paramedic and shook my head again.
"I don't know... Somethin' to keep... me quiet." I said, though it was kind of hard.

Thomas looked at her, "Theres an injection mark on her left arm." he said as they got to the hospital

"I think it could be... Propofol." I said weakly.

the emt looked at her when she said that while they got Haylen inside, Thomas followed close behind

I had my eyes closed once again, not really caring what was going on around me. I lost the battle against the tiredness the drug caused once again. But knowing I was at the hospital and I wasn't alone made it even easier for the drug to win.

Thomas waited in the lobby while Haylen was treated, one of the nurses treating Haylen was Tasha Jaskolski, she was finishing up her studies to be a nurse

Though I didn't realize any of it. They took a blood sample and got it to their lab for analyzing. And while they were still waiting for the results, I was brought to a room. Tasha was assigned to inform Thomas and she recognized him instantly and she did recognize me.
"Detective Kelly." she said as she walked up to him.

Thomas looked up when he heard the voice, "Tasha" he replied while standing up, "Is Haylen okay?" he asked

Tasha walked up and then nodded.
"She's going to be fine, I guess. She's taken to a room right now and we're waiting for the results, but it seems she was right with her guess." Tasha replied.

Thomas nodded in reply, "How are you?" he asked

"Well, despite obviously carrying a child from a guy who wanted to sell me... I'm fine." Tasha replied with a small sigh. It was obvious, that it still got to her emotionally. "Thank you for your help again, Detective."
