Accused! [Thomas, Stella, Mac, Lilyana]

There I was, sitting in the interrogation room. Nothing unusual for a detective, but this was different; I was sitting on the other side of the table, my hands cuffed in the front, like I was some dangerous criminal. It was a feeling I didn't like and I was close to tears.

Why? Well, a woman was found dead in her house. I had been arguing with that woman, because she hurt her daughter, but I couldn't do anything, because I couldn't prove that. Now she was dead and my DNA found on the scene.
I had no explanation how it got there, but I knew I didn't kill anyone.

Now I was waiting to be intorrogated, by whoever was leading this case now. And little did I know it were going to be Thomas and Stella.

Thomas could not believe it, Haylen under arrest for murder, he tried to remain professional as he walked into the room and sat across from her, the file in front of him

I looked up, giving Thomas a rather confused look, knowing it was hard on him. But still, I didn't do it... I looked down at the cuffs on my hands, saying nothing. What was there to say?

Thomas watched her, "Halyen, tell me everything" he said to her after a while

I sighed and looked up at him.
"What am I supposed to tell you? I don't know anything about it." I say honestly.

"Then start with what you do know." Thomas replied

"That'll be that I was home with Lily and the next thing I know is some officer arresting me for murder. In front of my little girl." I said seriously.

Thomas listened to her, the looked at the file, "Does it have to this woman?" he asked, sliding the photograph in front of her

"They said I killed her." I said I said quietly, my voice trembling a little.

Thomas watch Haylen, knowing she was scared, "Who is she?" he asked

"Melissa Jordon. I was investigating her husband's murder... three weeks ago I think." I said, still quiet. I looked at my hands, not liking to see them cuffed like I was a criminal.

Thomas reached over and gently touched his sister's hand

"Can I at least get rid of there?" I asked him, almost begging him, referring to the cuffs.

Thomas nodded, then took them off her

"Thanks." I said, looking up at him. "I didn't kill that woman, I swear."

"Your welcome" Thomas replied, "I believe you Haylen, but right know, we have nothing to back that up." he added

"You could ask Lily." I said a little uncertain, though.

"Shannon is talking to her" Thomas replied

I nodded and sighed a little. This was just crazy. "I know it won't be enough though."

"Its a start Haylen" Thomas said to her a reassuring tone

I looked up and then down again, not liking this situation.
"I just don't know what to do." I said quietly.

"Haylen, you let us take care of this." Thomas replied

I nodded. What else could I do? I hated sitting there and wait, but there was no other way.
"It just hurts."

Thomas nodded in reply

Meanwhile Lily was confirming what I said, saying she spent the day with me and she assured that she wasn't lying.


Across town the real killer was keeping an eye on the investigations.
